      This molecular test detects the NEV genome in blood or cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and quantifies the viral load.

      The test is intended for monitoring active viral replication and should be interpreted together with serological results when assessing the horse's NEV infection status.

      The viral load test reports one of the following outcomes:

      Undetectable Viral Load

      No NEV genome was detected above the assay detection limit.

      Detectable Viral Load

      NEV genome detected, indicating active viral replication.

      Important: This test does not determine the overall NEV infection status. An undetectable viral load does not exclude infection and should be interpreted together with serological findings.
